Join your fellow Stanford alumni for a nature walk and potluck in Little Cottonwood Canyon on Thursday, August 18th.

The event will be a nature walk around Albion Basin in Alta, followed by a potluck dinner at the Iron Blosam Lodge at Snowbird. The nature walk will begin at 6:00 PM at the Albion Basin Campsite parking lot. If you're joining us for the potluck and have food that you want to drop off before the hike, please bring it by the Iron Blosam (Room 1009) at 5:15 PM. There will be a group that carpools up to Alta from Iron Blosam. If you're just joining us for the hike, or don't need to drop off food before the hike, you can meet us at Alta at 6:00 PM.

At Alta there will be two possible walks.

The first, more vigorous, will be a geology walk with Prof. David Dinter ('82). Prof. Dinter is a geology professor at the University of Utah, and has taught (among many other things) Stanford travel study courses.

The second, more relaxed, will be a wildflower stroll with Prof. Ty Harrison (Ph.D. '71). Prof. Harrison is a biology professor (emeritus) at Westminster College.

After the walks we'll drive back to the Iron Blosam and at 7:30 we'll reconvene at room 1009 for a potluck dinner. If you'd like to join us for dinner, please bring something to share!

Looking forward to seeing you there.
