Language of Leadership

Lori Nishiura Mackenzie is Executive Director of Stanford University's Clayman Institute for Gender Research. Her work has been published in numerous outlets, and she speaks widely on the topics of Bias 2.0, women’s leadership and creating effective workplaces. She is executive editor of Gender News and the annual research magazine, upRising. Lori is the founder of the online Voice & Influence program aimed at providing people with the skills, information and inspiration to be as effective as possible. This curriculum has been widely viewed through the Clayman Institute's partnerships with LeanIn.org, the Stanford Graduate School of Business and the Darden Graduate School of Business.  Lori joined the Institute after working in marketing strategy and business management for 20 years at companies such as Procter & Gamble, Apple Computer, eBay, PayPal and CafePress. She is on the board of the Women’s Foundation of California and the Alliance for Girls. Formerly, she was a member of the Gender Equality Principles working group at the City of San Francisco Department on the Status of Women. Lori has an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.

This event is being held at The Bridgespan Group, 2 Copley Place, 7^th floor Suite 3007B, Boston, MA  02116.  It is above the mall at Copley Place.  Go to the elevators near Williams Sonoma, behind the water fountain, and head up to the 7th floor.

If driving, use the parking garage at 100 Clarendon (across the Street from Copley Place) or underneath the Marriott Hotel  at 110 Huntington St. (with Elevators up to Copley Place).
From the MBTA Green Line:
Exit Copley Green Line Station at the corner of Dartmouth and Boylston Streets.           
Walk two blocks south on Dartmouth Street across Copley Square.           
Copley Place is on the corner of Dartmouth Street and Stuart St.

From Back Bay Station / MBTA Orange Line and Amtrak:
Exit Back Bay Train Station on the Dartmouth Street side. 
Cross the Street and Copley Place is in front of you. 

Once inside Copley Place: 

Locate the water fountain/tower and the Williams-Sonoma in the mall. (If you enter from Back Bay, take the escalators up to the mall and proceed past the information desk.  Williams-Sonoma will be on your right.  If you come from Copley, enter at the Westin, take the escalator up, bear left when you reach the top.  Walk down the hall and through the skywalk, and take an escalator up to the mall.  Take a right at the information booth, walk past Louis Vuitton; Williams-Sonoma will be on your right.) 

Walk past Williams-Sonoma to arrive at the elevators behind the water fountain. Take the elevators to the “Skylobby.” 

At Security Desk, give Security your picture ID and tell them you are going to The Bridgespan Group. The Security in return will give you a visitor’s badge. 

Turn left to enter the doors into the tower at Two Copley Place.  Enter through the glass doors and walk down the hall to the next set of elevators.  Take the elevators to floor 7. 

Take a left as you exit the elevator and proceed to the entrance of our office.  Swipe your security badge outside of the doors to gain access to Bridgespan's office.
