Stanford Alumni Night at the Oregon Symphony

Saturday, April 18

Reception begins at 6 p.m. at the Heathman Hotel

1001 SW Broadway, Portland

Concert begins at 8 p.m. at Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall

Stanford alumni and their guests are invited to an exclusive event at the Oregon Symphony on Saturday, April 18. The evening kicks off at 6 p.m. with a reception at the Heathman Hotel, where we’ll enjoy food and drinks and hear from Oregon Symphony President and CEO Scott Showalter, Stanford Class of ’94. Then we’ll head next door to Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall for “Death on the Downbeat.” The concert, conducted by Carlos Kalmar and Paul Ghun Kim, is a splendid evening of classic film music and a delightfully different who-dunnit murder mystery. It seems that the most unpopular guest conductor, Maestro Bigherr, has been murdered. Everyone is a suspect, including a very guilty-looking orchestra. At intermission, we'll have dessert and drinks.

This is event is co-sponsored by Stanford Association of Oregon and the Stanford Graduate School of Business Portland chapter.

Registration deadline is Friday, April 3.
