Join GrowNYC and fellow alums to help support waste reduction efforts in New York City. Volunteers will get trained in NYC curbside recycling rules and be stationed at waste station bins, answering questions about which items can be recycled and why, and passing out tip cards on recycling to festival attendees. They are always paired with a partner, and are not expected to handle waste, but simply educate event-goers. There is no experience necessary to volunteer and comprehensive training will be given before our shift.
In appreciation for your hard work, you will also be rewarded with a free meal, a free t-shirt, and guaranteed entry (priority registration) for the 2016 Five Boro Bike Tour or discounted registration for one of Bike New York's Regional Rides. Please send me your t-shirt size.
