THE WIZ, a Tony-winning Best Musical retelling of L. Frank Baum's novel The Wizard of Oz, follows Kansas farm girl Dorothy on her fantastical journey through the magical land of Oz. The dazzling score by Charlie Smalls, which mixes rock, gospel and soul and features the hit "Ease on Down the Road," will have the audience jumping to their feet and dancing. This family-friendly, timeless tale reminds us there really is "no place like home."
Stanford alumni and friends are invited to enjoy theater in the round at a Saturday matinee performance of The Wiz, at the Wells Fargo Pavilion in Sacramento.
We have reserved a block of 40 tickets at the discounted group rate in the South section, Rows M, N, O, and Q.
Child tickets are available for ages 4-11. Unfortunately, the theater does not admit children under age 4 (including babes in arms).
Please join us from 12:00 -1:30 at Chando's Cantina, 805- 15th Street, for a no-host lunch and/or to pick up your tickets.
DISCOUNT PRICES: Children - $53; Adults - $63.
