Join SAO for a private tour of the Bull Run watershed, Portland's source of drinking water since 1895! Visit this remote, restricted area with a professional natural resources educator from Portland's Water Bureau - and your fellow Stanford alum!
The tour includes a one-mile round-trip hike to the Bull Run River, lunch at Bull Run Lake, a tour of the 1929 dam and drive-by tour of the 1962 dam, and a stop at Columbia South Shore Well Field. The bus leaves from Hollywood Fred Meyer at 8:30 am; participants should bring their own bag lunch.
Sign up early if you want to join us - SAO has all 25 seats reserved on the bus, but any open seats will be released to the general public on July 9th!
Follow these instructions to complete your registration:
- Enter “Stanford” into the “Enter a password and discount code” box
- Click on “Show available tickets” (if you just push return it won’t work)
