The museum celebrates the bustling shipbuilding times and the waves of immigrants it brought to the Richmond area in the 1940s. It’s a unique look at the efforts and sacrifices of civilians on the WWII home front.

We will meet at the museum at 10:00 a.m. The museum tour will be followed by a short film and talk by Park Ranger, Betty Reid Soskin. At age 97, Betty is the oldest National Park Ranger. She worked at the shipyard during WWII and is an amazing speaker.

There will be an optional lunch at the restaurant adjacent to the museum.
