Democracy seems to be in retreat around the world as authoritarian regimes are becoming bolder and more repressive, elected leaders are abusing constitutional norms, and illiberal populist parties are making electoral gains. Join Stanford alums and Professor Larry Diamond, '73, MA '78, PhD '80, as he analyzes the scope and causes of the global democratic recession and lays out a path toward democratic renewal at home and abroad.
