VIP Reception and Open Membership Meeting 

with speaker Aaron Puri, PhD ’13, Chemical & Systems Biology.

"Taming Wild Microbes: Methane-Powered Mollusks"  

Aaron will speak about the discovery of lifeforms that can use energy derived from methane gas instead of sunlight, as well as his recent trip to the Philippines to collect some of these animals and attempt to study their associated microbes in the lab.
