Join fellow alumni in an outdoor trail work project at the Fairfield Osborne Preserve on Sonoma Mountain. After the volunteer project, we will take a hike with a naturalist to learn about the ecosystem and the active research by Sonoma State University’s Center for Environmental Inquiry that operates the nature preserve.
We will be working a variety of tasks including trail brushing (trimming to keep trails open) and non-native plant removal.
* Long pants, long sleeves, sturdy shoes required (gloves provided)
* Dress in layers to be prepared for weather
* Land management volunteer project will entail approximately 1 hour of physical activity
* Docent led 1 hour hike over uneven ground
This project welcomes children ages 13 and up, with parental supervision.
