Wow, what a 2020 so far. Even with everything that's going on in Ohio and around the world, a new group of Stanford undergraduates will be starting their Stanford journey this fall. As always, there are Three Books for them to read to start a tradition of lively, civil discussion with their peers. This fall, we (Stanford Alumni Club of Central Ohio leadership) thought we should join in this time-honored tradition by reading and discussing one of the books. Two are whole books, while one is a collection of readings. The two books are Grit by Angela Duckworth and Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates.

By popular demand, we are going to virtually discuss Between the World and Me first, this October 17 at 7pm ET. We will use the discussion guide that our Stanford Frosh are using, provided by Stanford faculty.

We'll be discussing the event over Zoom - please feel free to come ready with your favorite beverage!

Please RSVP for the event to receive the Zoom link the day before.

We have also been invited to join the Author Conversation with Ta-Nahisi Coates on October 2 @ 10am Pacific time. If you'd like to join that, sign up at this link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdvFTg6ATECsxIcKJqQ--Ead7OJrqhgx5RBTl10w_SVOblaog/viewform
