Are you curious about plant-based nutrition and lifestyles? Join Stanford alumnus and orthopedic surgeon Dr. Sudeep Taksali ‘87 for a wide-ranging discussion about plant-based diets and their potential to improve our health and well-being.  We'll explore topics such as the effects of a plant-based diet on our microbiome, its potential to reverse chronic/lifestyle diseases, and the environmental aspects of a plant-based diet. We’ll also have ample time for Q&A at the end.

Dr. Taksali is a board-certified trauma specialist, whose focus is on the care of fractures and post-traumatic reconstruction. With degrees in Biology and Economics from Stanford, his background provides him a unique perspective to health care systems. Taksali is particularly interested in nutrition and feels that nutrition offers us the potential to cure diseases as opposed to managing symptoms with medications. He has pursued a plant-based diet since 2011 and recently participated in a documentary on diet and health called "Eating You Alive." Dr. Taksali is passionate about communicating with his patients and sees communication as the foundation to develop mutual trust.
